A lifelong Shamanic practitioner raised in the traditions of Buddhist, Indigenous-Vietnamese hau dong, Ifa, and Hoodoo, our founder (Ayla Xuân Chi) embraces all of their ancestral lineage in their energy work. A certified Reiki Level 5 Teacher (otherwise known as reiki “master” in coloniser centric circles), Ayla also invites Usui Reiki Ryoho medicine in their practice. They utilise a blend of traditional tarot, reiki, western & eastern astrology, and their unique spiritual background to craft custom wellness services just for you.
In Person Offerings
Out of a private studio in Bed-Stuy, a full service energy work studio awaits you.

Investing in your wellness may not always be within your budget. Planet Muthadaddy commits to making services available to all those in need. Every Sunday, we offer Pay What You Can options for all services. The Pay What You Can model is truly sliding scale from $0-the listed price.

whether you are a first time or returning client, each session begins with an intake and assessment on what you would like to work on together, accompanied with a custom made beverage to support your wellness needs. these services are goal oriented and always unique to each person on what they would like to release and/or usher into their life. we then move into the services that most excite and delight you, as well as support you. every session ends with a take home tea blend to support your needs!

sessions take place in my private studio in Bed-Stuy and weather permitting, in our outdoor patio surrounded by silver maple, cottonwood, and catalpa trees.
if travel is a barrier for you, i also offer distance energy work sessions that can be done for the whole session or the intake and you will feel the effects at a designated time most comfortable for you.

my love, as always, there is never a cure all, one time fix to any of our problems. reiki and energy work are resources and while i see my work as opening a door (and equipping you on how to build your own door in the long run), i can not walk you through the door. only you can choose to walk this life long path of healing and wellness, but you do not have to walk alone.

reiki should never hurt or cause physical discomfort. many of my clients experience lightness, tingling sensations, and/or deep relaxation but never pain.

only therapy is therapy and i am not a licensed social worker or therapist. these services are additional tools to support you on your journey, but are not provided to override other fields of wellness.

there is never anything “wrong” with you! some people may be more open than others and experience different sensations, others have understandable, protective boundaries. regardless of how much you feel or don’t feel, reiki and energy work go where they are meant to go and come to you when you are meant to experience it. if you trust in yourself and trust in the work, there will always be a benefit for you.

the best effect of energy work is a great night’s sleep the night of the session! other effects include: a sense of relaxation, calm, and relief. many of my clients experience ease for three days after and most experience alleviation of their symptoms for up to two weeks.
